SMPP Load Balancer Proxy

SMPP Load Balancer Proxy

The Melrose Labs SMPP Load Balancer Proxy (SLBP) platform proxies SMPP submit_sm requests to upstream platforms. Customers connect to the SLBP using their SMPP credentials. SMPP binds are made from the SLBP to the upstream platforms using the customer's SMPP credentials included in the bind request from the customer. Only SMS traffic submitted to the SLBP by a customer is load balanced over the upstream platforms using their credentials. Delivery receipts and MO SMS are routed back to the customer as though they had directly connected the upstream platforms. No customer accounts need to be configured in the SLBP unless routing based on customer system ID. Only the host and port for each of the upstream platforms are configured in the SLBP.
